A new security hole has been discovered on the Google+ servers that would allow potential hackers to make DDos using Google’s Bandwidth.
Google+ has been under testing for quite sometime now and a tester at an Italian Security firm has reported that the Google+ servers can be used to make DDos requests to other websites.
The original sighting of this reports can be seen at IHTeam Security Blog by Simone Quatrini. He demonstrates how users can make use of Google’s server to act as a proxy and fetch content of any desired website. It is also noted that Google’s servers are more anonymous than other servers.
Here is the video for the news : To Download the DDoS Source Code Here

Facebook Adds Video Calling, Group Chat.

Facebook wants to make it easier for its users to see each others' faces. The company, as expected, introduced integrated Video Calling, along with Group Chat and a new chat interface design.
Facebook Video Calling, powered by a compact Skype plug-in, allows users to launch a video chat session with one other person using only two clicks. Because the plug-in is downloaded on-demand, with a single permission request, users can initiate video calls and recipients can answer without pre-installing Skype's software.
This approach does away with a traditional barrier to the growth and adoption of software-based services, on both the Web and the desktop--the need to install and maintain software.
"The majority of users don't want to take the time to configure this stuff themselves," said Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg to the group of journalists who had come to Facebook's headquarters in Palo Alto, Calif., to see what had been billed as the introduction of "something awesome."
"We're going to see more, in general, of the Apple philosophy that it-just-works and you don't need to know why," said Gartner analyst Michael Gartenberg in a phone interview. "Users care about functionality; they don't care about technology."
Facebook's new Group Chat capability adheres to that philosophy: It's simple and certain to be appreciated by Facebook users, who can now assemble in groups and chat among themselves.
Ease of use, however, only extends until you hit vendors' walls: Facebook's Video Calling service cannot connect to Google's or Apple's, a situation reminiscent of the balkanized world of instant messaging software.
During the press conference, Zuckerberg confronted the inevitable question about Google's recently launched Google+ social network. He was asked what he thought of the Google's multi-person video chat service Hangouts and responded in a manner that some have characterized as defensive.
"Today, we're doing one-on-one [video chat]," Zuckerberg said, as if to suggest multi-person chat may be released in the future. "I wouldn't rule anything out," he said about the possibility of multi-person video chat. "But I also wouldn't undersell the importance of what we have today. The vast majority of video chat is one-on-one chat. I just think that this is super-awesome."
What Zuckerberg didn't explain was that Skype offers multi-person video chat through its desktop software as a premium service, for $4.49 per month in the U.S.
"As far as the Google stuff goes, I'm not going to say a lot about Google, plus we've all only spent a little bit of time on the service," he added, concluding that the growing interest in social apps validates his view about social networks turning into social infrastructure.
In his preamble to the product introductions, Zuckerberg laid out his vision of the where social networking is headed. He asserted that the success of social networks over the next five years will be measured not by user growth but by the apps developed atop now mature social infrastructure. To put it another way, it's all about what's built on the platform, at least until Facebook goes public: Then the yardstick will be advertising revenue.
Zuckerberg's insistence that his company's success should be measured in a new way makes sense: Having reached 750 million users in seven years, Facebook can count about a third of the world's Internet users as account holders. Getting another 750 million isn't likely to happen as fast.
Gartenberg said Facebook's partnership with Skype shows that there's a lot more to social networking than updating your status and sharing pictures. "It shows the stakes are being raised," he said. "This really helps extend Skype as a social network in and of itself."
And by extension, it helps Microsoft, which is in the process of acquiring Skype.
At the 2011 InformationWeek 500 Conference, C-level executives from leading global companies will gather to discuss how their organizations are turbo-charging business execution and growth--how their accelerated enterprises manage cash more effectively, invest more wisely, delight customers more consistently, manage risk more profitably. The conference will feature a range of keynote, panel, and workshop sessions. St. Regis Monarch Beach, Calif., Sept. 11-13. Find out more and register.

Leading organizations are embracing business analytics to identify their most profitable customers and trump rivals.Apple has taught the simplicity-of-installation lesson well, first with the iTunes App Store and more recently with its Mac App Store, and the rest of the industry is running with the idea. Goolge introduced new SSL search for Indian users . Here are the benifits of Google SSl search ...
With Google search over SSL, you can have an end-to-end encrypted search solution between your computer and Google. This secured channel helps protect your search terms and your search results pages from being intercepted by a third party. This provides you with a more secure and private search experience.
To use search over SSL, visit https://encrypted.google.com
What is SSL?
SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is a protocol that helps provide secure Internet communications for services like web browsing, e-mail, instant messaging, and other data transfers. When you search over SSL, your search queries and search traffic are encrypted so they can't be read by any intermediary party such as employers and internet service providers (ISPs).What can I expect from search over SSL?
Here's how searching over SSL is different from regular Google search:- SSL encrypts the communication channel between Google and a searcher's computer. When search traffic is encrypted, it can't be read by third parties trying to access the connection between a searcher's computer and Google's servers. Note that the SSL protocol does have some limitations — more details are below.
- When you use SSL search, the browser typically does not send referrer
information to any HTTP links you visit (but the browser will still send referrer information to any HTTPS links). By clicking on a search result that takes you to an HTTP site, you could disable any customizations that the website provides based on the referrer information.
- At this time, search over SSL is supported only on Google Web Search and Google Images. We will continue to work to support other Google products. All features that are not supported have been removed from the left panel and the row of links at the top. You'll continue to see integrated results like maps, and clicking those results will take you out of encrypted search mode.
- Your Google experience using SSL search might be slightly slower than you're used to because your computer needs to first establish a secure connection with Google.
Information for school network administrators
Does SSL provide complete security?
While SSL helps prevent intermediary parties, such as ISPs, from knowing the exact search that you typed, they could still know which websites you visit once you click on the search results. For example, when you search over SSL for [ flowers ], Google encrypts the query "flowers" and the results that Google returns. But when you click on a search result, including results like maps, you could be exiting the encrypted mode if the destination link is not on https://.If your computer is infected with malware or a keylogger, a third party might still be able to see the queries that you typed. We recommend that everyone learns how to prevent and remove malware.Remember that only Google Web Search and Google Images support search over SSL, so searching Google News, for example, will not be encrypted.
Technical discussion of SSL protocol-level limitations
How can I confirm whether I'm on a secure connection?
Check to see that the URL you're on starts with https:// instead of http://. Most browsers provide a visual confirmation (such as an icon of a lock) in the address bar or in the status bar at the bottom of the page. On Google SSL search, you'll also see a special Google SSL logo with a lock icon. In addition to this logo, be sure to also check the https:// text in the address bar and any browser lock icons. When you perform a search on https://encrypted.google.com

Not long ago social networking was ruled by Myspace. Now,it has been completely shadowed by Facebook which has an estimated 750 million users. At present there is no social networking site that could challenge the dominance of facebook. Finally Google has confirmed that it is working on its own Social networking Website called Google+.
It will be very difficult for any new social networking site to attract user’s.But it seems google has a large fanbase and it is quite possible that it will generate the curiosity among people to try something new.Currently, google+ project is not open for everyone. But those who have tested it have given it thumbs up.
Google+ has been broadly based on the concept of circles in which each circle represents a relation (colleagues, friends, family etc).In case of Facebook wall the content is shared with all friends but in goolge+ the content is shared among groups (circles) which makes a lot of sense as you don’t want to share same information with your Parents and Friends. You can also do group messaging as well as group video chat. The interface of google+ has been clean and very fast as compared to Facebook which is sometimes sluggish.
Moreover facebook has always battling with the privacy issues.Google is trying to take advantage in this area by making the privacy customizations very easy for its users.Whether Google can challenge Facebook or not can only be seen once it opens for
